I miss you

Having born and brought up in an Indian Metropolis, there are lots of small things that go unnoticed. Not till I came to Singapore , did I realize, how important a role the ceiling fan played in my life.It used to be a matter of seconds to turn on the switch and the ceiling fan would start its inertia of motion for hours together spreading cool and comfroting air to every corner of the room. No matter whether you sit or stand, lay on the floor or on the couch, the air would for sure reach you.
It is so true that " You understand the importance of something only when you donot have it with you". When I first entered the apartment I was going to be staying for the next year or more, here in Singapore, the first thing that caught my eyes was the absence of the ceiling fan. I ignored thinking it would not be a great deal without a ceiling fan but gradually I started realizing its value. Each time I changed my seating or sleeping position I had to change the angle and the height of the pedestal fan. Till date , there has not been a single day that went without exercising with the pedestal fan. Like a young mother carrying her infant wherever she goes , I too carried my fan wherever I wanted it. Initially it took me some days to get used to the irritating noise that it made at odd times, especially when I used to be sleeping. Now ,its been 1 whole year that I have successfully completed with my pedestal fan . It has now become an integral part of my daily life butI still and I always MISS YOU MY CELILING FAN.

  4. WEll, one can surely leave it up to Komal to be flirting on someone else's blog with someone else's Ahem-Ahem.. :)...Having said that...Hey Bipz..How you Doin ? ;)
And divi, reading this made me terribly miss those letters of yours, they were one of the most excititng thingss that came my way by the snail-mail inthe past 5 years. Else it was just sordid reminders of how much i owe Vodafone for my unending hours speaking (mostly to the then- Bhansali!!!)
Speaking on the same line of thought as this blog, i am tempted to illmouth the transport system of Blore(which i have been doing ALOT of late!)..Back in calcutta, you'd take for granted the numerous buses that ran all over the city (and sadly sometimes over people too,but that's not the point here)..I took it for granted that i'll get atleast a buses/auto/metro to travel to any part of that metropolis, and spend below Rs.30 without being frugal...
But here in Blore, the concept is: For going to place A to D,route your journey through T!! what the F!! And if you want to go just A-D, you have no option BUT to take the auto, the drivers of which would put Atilla the Hun to mocking shame!!!For just placing your heiney on the seat, you have to,pardon the pun, fork out nothing less than 40!!!
...and This is where i fondly remember those bus conductors, almost hanging out of the bus,and shouting "Kalighat,Kalighat! Hazra,Hazra, Hazra..!Exide..."

  6. Alas, after a year, understood the importance of a fan, u r only missing ceiling fan, rather the pedestal fan not oscillates and it also make u oscillate. u will definitely appreciate 4 not having a ceiling, by virtue of it has given u an opportunity to exercise in order to keep u fit time to time. >>>>>>> Appa ....
